1. Stop using the device immediately
Power the iPhone off if it took a full submersion. Never connect a Lightning or USB-C cable while the port is damp — the charging alert exists because current across wet contacts causes corrosion within minutes.
Remove any case, dry the exterior with a lint-free microfibre cloth, and hold the phone with the speaker grille facing straight down.
2. Run the acoustic ejection cycle
