Android Speaker Cleaner & Water Eject
Android has no built-in water eject — but you do not need an app. Open this page in Chrome, turn the volume up and press play to push water out of your phone speaker.
How to eject water from an Android phone speaker
- Turn off Do Not Disturb and raise media volume to the maximum (press volume up, then tap the settings dots to see the media slider).
- Remove the case and wipe the phone dry.
- Hold the phone with the bottom speaker grille facing down.
- Tap play on Water Eject. Repeat 2–3 times, then run Deep Clean once.
- Let the phone air-dry upright for a few hours before charging.
Works on every Android brand
- Google Pixel — the bottom speaker and the earpiece play stereo; clean both by pointing each end down.
- Samsung Galaxy — see the dedicated Samsung speaker cleaner for Galaxy-specific tips and the “Moisture detected” warning.
- OnePlus, Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Motorola, Nothing — all work in Chrome or the default browser.
Some brands (for example certain Xiaomi and Realme phones) ship a built-in “Clear speaker” feature in Settings → Additional settings or the Security app. It plays a similar tone; this page works the same way on any phone.
Android water eject app vs. this web tool
Most “water eject” and “speaker cleaner” apps on the Play Store play the same kind of low-frequency tone, often with full-screen ads. A web tool loads instantly, needs no permissions and takes no storage. If you’d still like an app with offline access, see our speaker cleaner app page.
Charging port wet too?
If your phone shows a moisture or liquid warning when you plug in, the USB-C port is still wet. Don’t force-charge. Read how to get water out of a charging port.

Frequently asked questions
Does Android have water eject?
Not as a standard feature, although some brands include a “clear speaker” tool. You can use this free web tool on any Android phone in Chrome.
What is the best water eject app for Android?
You do not need one — this page does the same job in the browser. If you prefer an app, see our speaker cleaner app page.
Why can’t I hear the water eject sound on my Android?
Media volume may be low or Do Not Disturb may be on. Raise the media volume (not the ringer volume) and try again.
