Xiaomi, Redmi & POCO Speaker Cleaner
Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO phones are among the most popular in the world — and their bottom speakers fill with dust and water like any other. Use the cleaner below, or the hidden built-in tool.
How to clean a Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO speaker with sound
- Raise media volume to maximum and turn off Do Not Disturb.
- Remove the case and wipe the phone dry.
- Point the bottom speaker grille down.
- Play Water Eject 2–3 times for water, or Deep Clean once for dust.
Xiaomi’s built-in “Clear speaker” tool
Many Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO phones include a speaker-cleaning option. The location varies by version:
- HyperOS / MIUI 12+: Settings → Additional settings → Clear speaker (on some builds it’s under Settings → Sound & vibration).
- Use the search bar at the top of Settings and type “clear speaker” if you can’t find it.
It plays a short tone for about 30 seconds. If your model doesn’t have it, the online cleaner above does the same job.
Other Android brands with a similar feature
- Realme / Oppo (ColorOS / Realme UI): some models offer a speaker-cleaning option in Settings → Additional settings or via the Phone Manager app.
- Vivo, OnePlus, Infinix, Tecno: usually no built-in tool — use the cleaner on this page or the general Android speaker cleaner.
Charging port says water detected?
Some Xiaomi and POCO phones show a moisture warning on the USB-C port. Don’t charge until it’s dry; follow how to get water out of a charging port.
